This audio is from a live performance at Ignite: Burden Re-Telling Event on the 26th April 2024 where I was able to share and perform music and poetry. Its about imagining life after the dust settles, after we have reshaped the world according to the needs of all rather than the greed of a few. I hope you enjoy imagining a near future we me.

After the dust settles we cry

After the dust settles we shout

After the dust settles we hum

After the dust settles we dance

After the dust settles we shake

After the dust settles we process

After the dust settles we talk

After the dust settles we feel

We feel freedom

We look around

We smell the dust of the former empire

We touch the artifacts of a cruel time gone by

We taste hope on our tongue

We reinvent time

We greet each other in a new language

We keep reimagining freedom

We search for the seeds of hierarchy

And spit it out

We care for children

We erase borders

We listen to the earth

We love the creatures we share space with

We rest, truly rest

We play and play some more

And we build

Build an accessible world

Build a world without the threat of violence

We build love

After the dust settles

For Us

If love was a popular movement
If love was a popular movement. There would be no nuclear codes, lieutenants or drone strike orders. If love was a popular movement. Hunger would vanish. We’d have clean sustainable energy.
Need not want
I need my community to learn more about disability justice, fatphobia and colonialism.

Hope - Poem by Love, Builder of Worlds
Freedom is the hope of the enslaved. And hope that manifested in ten thousand ways. Hope that has lasted over a hundred thousand days. Hope that stays. When dignity is denied. Justice delayed.
A Collective Preparing - Poem by Love, Builder Of Worlds
We are siblings. We are daring. We are resource pairing. Love sharing. We are a group. We are a circle.
