Letter to my future self.
Kitten deserves to live long enough to enjoy and flourish in the world described.
This poem was created in a virtual space and the prompt was "Letter to your future self" hence the title. Though its a letter to my future self its a poem dedicated to my friend Kitten that deserves to live long enough to enjoy and flourish in the world described.
I hope you are well.
Like truly well and free.
I hope you are free from the chains of gender
Free from the burden of fatphobia
From the curse of ableism
The cruel torture of colonialism
I hope if you are not free in all things
You are free in somethings
And you have used your freedom to free others
I hope you are released from the demands of neo- plantation corporationism.
I hope you are free from the feelings of inferiority
I hope the restrictive and regressive nature of conservativism is cancelled.
I hope prisons are closing and the security forces around the world disbanded.
I hope the world you live in is full of love, harmony and peace beyond your wildest imagination.
I hope you have time all the time in the world.
I hope you live in a world where you are no longer threatened with social death
I hope you live in a world where you don't have to sell your time for money
I hope you live in a world where the threat of violence is foreign
I hope you live in a world where passports mean nothing
Visas and travel restrictions are meaningless because the earth is borderless
I hope you live in a world where you get to play and rest
I hope you live in a world where Kitten is there cosy lying on your chest.
