I didn’t leave in the dead of the night

The sun saw me and it felt right 

I knew none of us would shed tears that night 

It had been coming for a long time

We were getting along by the by

But I couldn’t wait to get out of your sight 

It’s why I hopped on that flight

Hold on to everyone I left behind
